Chronic Pain

Post by Hamsamick »

Is there a section here for chronic pain Kratom users?
I read reviews and haven't seen anything about how they treat pain yet. (still digging through) Looking for a new vendor in the states and it's like starting over again considering every site has different names for strains.

I've been using white and red borneo and Maeng Da since December of last year when i became a victim of the war on opiates. (don't get me started lol)

I need something for pain that will not put me to sleep, from a US vendor. At the moment i have my eye on Mystic. $60-$90 / kilo fits my budget too.

I'd love to talk to others with chronic pain about Kratom.
I have a painful brain malformation , vicious arthritis and a horrible spine, i hurt from slicer to coconut.

And i've been doing better on my own with Kratom, than more than a decade with doctors. Physically and mentally. And Kratom does not judge me.

Same here, vicious arthritis. And I hear you about the doctors.

There is no "pain" section here, but if you copy and paste this into Google or DuckDuckGo or whatever your favorite search engine is, you'll get a number of good results from this site:

Code: Select all

site:doublemherbals.com pain
Good luck!

Hey, I order from mystic island and from SoCal and also have had the same problem with doctors and treatments. I tried steroid injections, in my spine at a non surgical spine center (when I first got off painkillers)before settling on taking care of myself with Kratom/ physical therapy and acupuncture. I have the mystic island vampire, red Bali, and red Vietnam.( I also like their green Vietnam it’s not very sleepy and does provide me with some energy/ relief.)All of which are beneficial for me and my pain. The thing that I actually find the most beneficial from Kratom however is the energy boost that I get. I often use this energy boost to do physical therapy, stretch, walk, anything that doesn’t hurt the body but strengthens it basically. I think this is an important key to using Kratom in a beneficial manner. Hope that helps some feel free to ask me anything else. Have a Good Friday.

I'm sure there are many of us "PAIN" people around here someplace. I too have severe arthritis, an artificial hip and spine issues in my neck and back...Pretty much a "playground for pain", haha. Found Kratom when Florida changed their Opiate prescribing laws. Went in to my doctor one day, and he just said "Your Done"...Hmmm, OK, done with what? You will get no more pain medications. Say WHAT? He even admitted if anyone needed them I did, but he would no longer be able to give them to me. Got one 30 day supply and that was it...

Then there began the months of agony, spending all my money on the black market and run ins with the law...I honestly could write a book. Then one day, in the depths of horrible withdrawals, I found Kratom on some obscure web page some place. Now this was four years ago, there was not much out there about Kratom yet. So long story short, went to my local "head shop" and got some. Downed it right there in the parking lot! On the drive home it kicked in and I felt better. OMG, WHERE HAS THIS STUFF BEEN!...Just a LEAF, and I don't feel like I'm gonna die anymore!

So that day, in the headshop parking lot is where my life got saved!...Was able to get off all black market opiates and get my life back together. Will be 4 years in October...I still have nightmares about that time before I found our leaf.

So yes, I use Kratom for Pain Relief. Still works just as well for that as it did 4 years ago. Now the other nice effects are few and far between, but they still come to visit now and again. Kratom has and does SO MUCH for me, and has helped so many others I've worked with to get their lives back from opiates. I thank God every day for making Kratom Trees! :)

Wow, it's like reading my own story.
"That's your last prescription". Wait.....what? You're not even going to ween me down? I've been a patient for almost 10 years!
And they kept saying "they are cracking down". I always said....that's not my problem, Tell 'they' to speak to me....I'm the patient. lol
Then i figured, why am i speaking to you, when you keep taking about 'they'.....so i went to 'they' at the State Health Department. And 'they' assured me this was not their doing, and showed me the latest legislation that specifically said it's intentions were NOT to include chronic pain patients, it was targeting acute pain patients. "This doesn't even apply to you sir"~ NYS Health Department
But my fight was minimal, i had enough of them by that time. Including nurses that had things to say, and people at pharmacies treating me like I have another agenda than treating my pain.

A friend had been telling me about Kratom for a while, so off to the headshop for 2 capsules for $20 lol. In fairness....they sure do kick ass.
In the parking lot.......then feeling it on the ride home. {mind blown}

Yes, brother...nightmares. If you have cancer and go to a cancer center, it's brightly lit , nice and everyone treats you beautifully.
If you have chronic pain and you go to a pain clinic, it's dark and dreary ....often in a basement or bottom floor, and it's like you're being processed at the jail. Normally with a very angry looking large woman behind the counter. (no offense to angry looking large women)

I'll never go back. As soon as i find the right vendor, and i think i did thanks to this forum, I'll stock enough to last me 50 years, and i'm not joking lol.
Every once in a while the pain is too harsh for kratom, but I'll deal with it. I'm much better off with Kratom.
And i don't wake up with withdrawals lol.
Do the pain, don't let the pain do you.

Thanks for the reply. And thanks to headshop parking lots

The fact that doctors are cutting off chronic pain patients from their meds with no taper down MAKES ME FURIOUS LIKE YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE. It's f***ing inhumane is what it is. My daughter has been on Suboxone for over a year and has started a taper and her doctor is letting her do it at her own pace, nice and slow. If they can do that for addicts why not chronic pain patients? It's f***ed up.

Rant over.

It's a good rant, HH. I'd like to see someone say exactly that in a congressional hearing on the subject -- but I won't hold my breath.

And you're right -- it IS sickening. It's inhumane and perhaps even inhuman.

I think I'm one of the lucky ones here -- I was always in pain, but usually not severe, and just crippled up enough to where I was slowly not moving anymore but not really realizing just how much I was restricted. I had pain meds but never took them because I figured if I never started I'd never have to worry about stopping, and instead was relying on over the counter pain relief to do the bare minimum on a dialy basis. I didn't realize how much I just wasn't moving anymore until I got two things into my life: high-dose curcumin and kratom. The difference is night and day.

That was bad enough; I can't even begin to imagine what some people here have been through. I'm SO glad they found kratom, and I'm getting to know them here and not via an obituary.
If they can do that for addicts why not chronic pain patients?
Exactly. I'd like to know that as well, because there's no practical or ethical reason why it can't be done.

I don't even see how it's ethical or morally right to tell someone what they can and can't put in their own body. It infuriates me to no end.

Being treated as a drug seeker when seeking pain relief is disgusting. Happened to me as well. So glad I found kratom. My quality of life isn't at the mercy of a doctor/government/insurance company every month.
