Dif groups/forums, Dif 'best' vendors

hi friends new 'official' member here woohoo lol. I've been a lurker since last summer and have learned a bunch. thanks! I have been taking kratom almost a year for excruciating pain, debilitating fatigue, depression, and anxiety. it has literally given me my life back. anyhow... just wanted to introduce myself real quick. now here's my question:

I've been active in several vendor and general kratom groups and it's very interesting to me that the 'best' vendors discussed in certain groups are completely different from other groups. it makes sense that friends from the community follow each other and land in the same groups... thence the majority of people in one group raving about similar vendors. but I'm also wondering... as a relatively new consumer... am I missing something? the other groups rave about Sabai, Kats, Soap Korner, Otie's, Leaf of Life, YLYL/philly, Carolina kratom, and a handful of other... but rarely vendors that are mentioned in THIS forum. thoughts? also thoughts about the AKA 'approved' list (also very different)? thanks for anyinsight you can offer!

While there is nothing wrong with the groups you were in (Facebook) the difference is we can openly discuss vendors/batches honestly without being banished from the group because this forum isn't ran by any vendor/vendor group...this group focuses on finding potent kratom for a good price instead of focusing on the false belief that most kratom is dirty (false FDA claim) and must be tested before consuming. Your welcome to stick around and chat us up!!

oh I'll most definitely stick around I find it all fascinating and even from a psychological viewpoint alone... intriguing. at a year in, I still feel like a newby and have a lot left to learn.

ok... doesn't it make logical sense that we would want the product we're ingesting to be tested for contaminants? this is naive on my part and I, clearly, have been missing something?

if what you say is true, I'm about to get booted LOL. because I'm about to publish the alternate post in those, supposedly, vendor-run 'general' kratom discussion groups. curious to test the theory.

Kratom has been used for thousands of years and the incidents of it making people deathly ill is miniscule...when those (AKA) vendors make sure they tell you it's tested for heavy metal they're just cashing in on the fear mongering started by the FDA...I mean I understand why vendors are having to test for legal purposes but why cash in on fear mongering? If you think it has bacteria you could just boil it for free!! They won't tell you that!!

I ALWAYS test my kratom! If its green, it passes the test.
Going on five years and never been sick. Mold and bacteria just don't like to grow on dried powdered leaf unless YOUR WET SPOON starts the fun. From Indo to there and from there to here, theres really nothing to be concerned about. The FDA just wants you to be another cash-cow in their herd and take something that's less effective, more addictive, and many times more expensive. As always.

Not naive, does make sense, kratom IS consumed as a food product not a "drug".. Most people EAT the raw powder . However that is changing, I don't EAT the powder !! Many now either brew a Tea, or make Red Bubble Tea.. which isn't a traditional Tea, but gets sterilized in process. see Red Bubble group on FB...

Facebook has always been a black hole of mis-information, fear mongering & false rumors about kratom.. And vendors shilling $ for money! Which 'vetted group' are you from? The vendors you mention, Sabai, Soap Korner, etc just work the hell out of FB don't they? lol remember the Kratom Motivation group ? the largest oldest FB group, finally revealed they were a massive shill operation for 1 asshole vendor.

I mean shilling is SO prevalent in the kratom 'bizness' it's kind of a joke.. Note I'm not accusing anyone here of that! lol - Some of the vendors U mention, are just not competitive.. I've found after using a certain vendor for any length of time (usually 2-3 mos), I build a tolerance to their product. I always toss in a few others here and there, but tend to primarily use one vendor for a slightly extended period of time due to making a larger purchase from them at once. it def appears that switching vendors works for me for keeping my tolerance down. that being said, I'm on the lookout to make a large purchase in the next day or two and, as usual, not sure which way to turn! this girl is being open minded and NOT going to worry about testing so much as word of mouth... which I've always valued <3

thanks! I'll have to check on what the requirements are to qualify for the trading post, but I can see that being super helpful. hoping that TFH opens up to members again in the near future and been checking out reviews for Danette today. sounds like I might want to try. I've gotten some BB before last summer and considering trying them again... so many options...

Fused is def a top notch choice to start with IMHO!!! Can't beat 10way split kilos especially with his pricing, service, knowledge, and extremely high quality!!! Shaun's a great guy, and can answer any questions that you have and more.... Give em a shot.

thanks Ace! I heard about that 10-way split. those are the best what are your Fused favs? I'm pretty 'average' in how kratom works for me, so general consensus tends to work as well. just gotta see how to find him... I'm pretty good at that stuff

ok. I completely get the fear mongering and personally hate the FDA. but, I've been thinking about this post a lot. facts are also facts i.e. there are safe and unsafe levels of heavy metals in products for consumption. yes, you can boil (altho I have heard actual boiling kills alkaloids...) kratom to kill ecoli, salmonella, etc. but what about high levels of heavy metals? I don't know... I think I prefer to use tested kratom. there's a reason those high levels of heavy metals are unsafe. I'm surprised that this isn't the popular consensus. I'm not a worrier by nature, but some things just make logical sense.

Hi starshine! True, and important for vegetables where U eating large quantity.. pounds by weight. Kratom, are you eating a kilo a day? lol I mean consuming a few grams, how much heavy metal could you possibly ingest? Worst Case a fraction of a microgram per week? We'd have to do the math..

You know, the Organic Food people say that U should spend $ at Whole Foods, on expensive organic produce, because "regular" produce sold in supermarkets are... full of heavy metals. Right? That's the complaint? Imho it's been studied and.. there again.. regular produce is considered safe. But, yes organic is good. Personally I'm not paying $5 for one apple, just 'cuz its organic... but I'm old enough to remember apples were like 25 cents. Only a few years ago!

Honestly? The kratom biz is trying to justify insane 1000% profit margins. The #1 scam on the Internet.. obvious profiteers "IN it for the Money" are not gonna be too diligent about expensive lab testing, for microbes or metals or anything.. Just the opposite. They're gonna spend the LEAST $ for a piece of paper, to convince worry-warts on Facebook, to send them money!!

Of course, there are many good vendors too. Use your best judgement. I do believe someone like Herbaldom (for 1 example) IS and does, spend $ on real lab testing, clean room, etc. Others like Viable Solutions ? Yes they probably do test; however they import BIG loads of product. So... there's a trade-off between lower quality bulk kratom (call it Walmart kratom!) and... small batch, fresh, Indonesian product which many believe is a better quality leaf.
