Just a thought

Post by D_B_C »

So, I know we all read each other’s reviews and thoughts on the Kratom we have tried that particular day. Nothing is a bigger bummer than reading a 10/10 review of a certain strain we have never tried, then ordering that exact one only to find out it doesn’t work as well for you. Most of us agree it’s just down to body chemistry or whatever reason.

This is where my thought comes in.... what If we had some way for each member to see what works and doesn’t work for other members. Like a spread sheet or something. Then you find the member or members who most closely matches you and your favorite or least favorite strains. Then you could possibly narrow things down a little. We all agree it’s mostly about body chemistry, so maybe this would be a way to more closely match people or a group of people. I know it wouldn’t be 100% accurate but maybe we could cut down on getting ones that don’t work and the main thing, find what works with a better success rate.

This is exactly what we do with our members :D . You wouldnt believe the amount of time I spend in spreadsheets  Your post has inspired me to do another topic on the old "behind the scenes thread"... thanks!

Excellent idea. I'd also like to propose an inventory list with our profiles. On an old whiskey swap site I was on, there was a whole subreddit of just our inventories, what we want to trade, and what we're looking for. We could search it in a flash instead of having to post ISOs or FTs.

haha "whatever reason" isn't going to be very helpful, when talking about numbers, statistics, and database

I just posted on another thread about Quality. Kratom quality is a Normal Distribution... The personal attribute that seems to make a difference in HOW different people perceive "quality" or effects, IS the condition of their mu opioid receptors. How much they have abused their receptors over the past, year let's say... can anyone put a number on that? > From 1 to 5, Rate your Opioid Tolerance over the past year. Lower is better. A Five is someone who just got off year of suboxone or heroin, and has totally blown-out their receptors.

Just an idea... otherwise it's the usual "Get in touch with your Feelings" stuff = Does Not Compute :P

Good idea! It's like when I watched Roger Ebert review movies like The Fifth Element, and Dark City (he did a commentary track for that), and I realized that here was a brother nerd that I could trust in regards SF movies.

More seriously, when a trusted Kratom reviewer talks about mood lift from a strain I haven't tried that's when my ears perk up. That's what I mainly look for, as my pain is manageable, knock on wood, with small servings of Kratom.

So can we start a separate forum that lists our preferences? One post per member to make things easy to search, and it could include short reviews or links to our reviews, too.
