Gotcha. I've had some good and some mediocre batches of those. My favorite and most consistent is the Magic/Red Sumatra.

I really enjoy the ruby red Thai. That one has always worked well for me. That and their gold maeng da.

Sampled the ruby red thai / invincible hippo, 2.5g. It's labled as fast, and I was enjoying it and added 2.5g of the red sumatra / magic hippo (slow) and it killed the vibe to a background type of relaxation.

This stuff is legit quality kratom, if you feel like paying $240 a kilo, you won't have bunk. I think a lot of peeps love the hunt for fire, this kind of fills a different niche.

It’s a decent slow Bali. Very muted, very subtle. Some mood lift. Weak to non-existent stimulant note. Maybe a 6/10 or 7/10 at best compared to the average Bali available elsewhere.

I still have some decent 'Hyper' and 'Red Hot' that i occasionally enjoy and the 4oz bags do not seem so expensive...if you don't do the math!
I still buy the stem and vein and find that a superior S&V, although i haven't tried a ton, sort of hard to find and i find it effective on a T-Break
They ship very quickly and have a fun & cheery webpage that is easy to navigate but they are prone to the usual MEH products - it is then that the bubble bursts and the search for a better product begins. (especially if by now you do the math) If by now, with the help of fellow MM'ers you find some fire products at a '4th' of the price with 'consistency' those cute, cuddly hippos are not looking so adorable

As far as High Dollar kratom, mmm speciosa has been more popular/ better reviewed, compared to Hippo. NO cute funny animals on their website... but years of positive reviews on Reddit. I did buy a couple of samples, on MeWe and it was very good. Baik Bali! https://www.mmmspeciosa.com/

TOO expensive for my taste... But, mmm Speciosa has been considered, some of the finest quality at "any" price.

I used to order from them pretty frequently, mostly because they were located pretty close to where I lived at the time. Orders would arrive in like 1-2 days, and their customer service was always great.

I only recall the old weird names. But a 50/50 blend of Hyper Hippo and Snuggie Hippo provided energy, pain relief, and great mood lift without jitters on tough work days. I used to enjoy their Top Shelf Bali as well. But as of my last order last August? It really didn't do much for me.

Like other vendors, about 2 years ago the quality started to become really inconsistent. I don't think it was them to blame per se, but the large importers/wholesalers that got lazy (MitraGaia, Kratora, and a lot of others went downhill too, 'member?) It got to the point that I almost gave up with Kratom altogether.

To the point someone made earlier, Mmm Speciosa was the friggin bomb. I got in on the special kilo deal they did for the American Kratom Association, and was a happy camper for about 6 months.
