Serious question: World class kratom?
Aside from being directly in Indonesia, are we, DoubleM, and I would guess Reddit (never used it) and Facebook, MeWe, similar, getting some of the best kratom in the world (US and other large countries where it it legal)?
We have some of the best small batch sourcers, medium sized businesses, and large companies, all trying to get a piece of the pie. I assume TFH and some startups have plans to grow domestic leaf of high caliber, and I think Big Tobacco has moved on from vaping back to agricultural aspirations.
So what do you think about the quality of kratom we have and are soon to have?

I think it has been exceptional lately man some of these vendors have been so great recently that it is spoiling me to the point where there are so many vendors selling GREAT quality kratom that are still falling short of the guys selling EXCELLENT quality leaf. Its tough because ive tried so many vendors recently slinging great leaf but just wasnt as good as the heavy hitters so of course I would still rather go with the heavy hitters. All these vendors coming to double m to gain our business better be bringing their A game because the competition is bringing it.

I have many indos contact me daily wanting me to try their product ..sourcing is more than just good kratom >> it's finding someone that also takes kratom and has a good knowledge of the plant ..My friend Lisa(Cactus Jacks Botanicals ) and I are always looking for new trustworthy sources ..right now we like roy ke .. although shipping is a bit slow in Indo right now It's worth the wait.

I think the jury is still out. Many kratom users are not big fans of plantation leaf. The ole timers still talk about how good thing were pre-2016. Are we getting deep jungle leaf, or what’s easiest and fastest to harvest?

I was in Vietnam and Bali late summer 2019 and, for the most part, the leaf we get
here is every bit as good as over there! We did cop some killer Green Bali over there
but I've had a number of offerings from our vendors here in the U.S. that's been on
par or better!

Yeah man i honestly think that the last few months of 2020 have brought some of the best leaf i have had in years. Alot of vendors out here killing it right now and i for one appreciate the trouble they go through to bring me the highest quality leaf they can.instantKARMA wrote:I was in Vietnam and Bali late summer 2019 and, for the most part, the leaf we get

Re: Are we getting the best kratom in the world?
I've only been taking kratom for around 3 years now, but I've had some from this year that is as good as anything I've had yet. It seems to come and go, gotta shop around, and sometimes ya get lucky. For instance I wasn't that thrilled with TFH (it's perfectly fine, above average even, just nothing amazing to me) then I grabbed a split kilo from Dennette, who doesn't even have a website and barely advertises and was fairly blown away.
As far as Reddit, they are not very informed, but that's because they can't do reviews and name names anymore. I learned a lot and found my first online vendor there, but it's not really like that anymore. Where as here, I'm pretty sure we're hearing about most of the good stuff ha-ha.
American grown kratom will cost more. Will it be better ? Probably more consistent as it will all need to be tested, and every company will want to advertise their % numbers etc. so it'll be bred for potency. Can't say I really care either way. If they can sell me good kratom at approx. what I'm paying now, then great, if not, then I'll stick with online importers.

High Mitra% doesn't even mean it will be the best or even better. There is so many alkaloids that all work together to make the plant work. There are alkaloids that block receptors and alkaloids that attach to receptors. So its a battle of alkaloids as to which tree produces leafs that attach to the most receptors in your brain.

Amen JFish. So many alkaloids at play thats why a vendor with some 1.7 percent mit content can be outshined by another with 1.3 with a more balanced profileJfish030 wrote:High Mitra% doesn't even mean it will be the best or even better. Mitragynine converts to 7-hydroxymitragynine via the liver, so higher mitragynine % generally will result in much more potent "opioid like" effects. There are obviously exceptions but generally this will be the case. Those are the two main alkaloids anyone really cares about anywaysJfish030 wrote:High Mitra% doesn't even mean it will be the best or even better. I just meant this is 'murica, everything is measured (and usually valued) in numbers ha-ha. Whether it means anything or not, it will be used as a marketing tool. Just look at how many food products that never contained gluten to begin with are now marked "gluten free !" as though something had changed, as if they'd done extra work and made it better. The test numbers will be all that matters to 90% of the new customers, and no small number of the old ones.
