Mystic Island White Borneo (Sep 2018)

Just a quick shoutout for this strain; it's one of the best all around burns I've had in a while. I actually bought this in September or October, and for whatever reason didn't get around to trying it until today, when I noticed the bag was still unopened.

Dosed my usual 4g, and 45 minutes or so later my hip pain/joint aches were entirely gone, I had not only energy but actual motivation to get things done, and on top of all that it put me in a -great- mood. Not jittery, just smoooooth and strong, and pain relief is still at 100% over two hours later. A fantastic all-around dose.

I'm not always in the mood for a full-on white, which is part of the reason it didn't get tried until now, but I honestly wish I had sampled this one earlier. I've been missing out!

White borneo is often in my morning mix of whites. It adds speed and positive mood lift to anything I add it to without being to overwhelming or too "speedy" if that makes sense. I especially like it mixed with the summer white banjo from Okie.

Hmmm. Don't know what to say to that. You get a lot from yellows and they make me batty, so I don't even know what to suggest because our chemistry is so different. What happens when you try whites, even as part of a blend?

Makes total sense, Evilday. I boost my reds with a touch of white on a regular basis, and frequently add it to other colors as well. Sometimes you just feel like a lift.

Great review Whiffy. I guess I missed that strain altogether- I didn’t even get a sample while it was in stock, dangit! I’ll be on the lookout for it though. I do love the euphoric whites. It’s getting pretty painful waiting on their restock. I did order some Green Malay, Bali, Vietnam and green MD earlier this week. Hopefully I’ll have them tomorrow or Saturday.

I missed the MI Green MD, but I have the MI Green Malay, Bali and Vietnam. They're all pretty solid, but the Green Malay is heads and shoulders above the rest, IMO: it has a mood lift that I don't usually get from a straight green. I think you'll dig it.

I definitely dig the Green Malay. I was just down to my last 10 grams of the batch i got in August. I immediately ordered the Green Malay as soon as i saw it back up on the site. I think it was all gone in 2 days. Hopefully it will be as good as the last batch. I agree with you 100% - the Malay was also my favorite Original strain from Mystic over the summer. It’s definitely #1 with White Bali and Green Vietnam tied for 2nd best. I recently got the Red Malay and I’ve been enjoying it as well. I’m hoping they get a large restock soon. There are some other whites I’d like to try out along with the Borneo.

Try a sample of their White Bali when they restock (if you have never had it). It’s very slow and euphoric for me. Reminds me of RVA’s White Bali or BB’s White Jongkong. All of those give me good euphoria and pain relief and are not very stimulating. If I’m not careful I will nod off to sleep 2 hours into the burn on any of those. They are definitely not like the typical “rocket-fuel” whites.

White Borneo probably my second favorite white. It's good to hear MI's is high quality, although why wouldn't it be?(sigh, miss them).

I get very motivated, almost euporic happy type of motivation and definitely a decent analgesic effect from white Borneo.

That's right, I have a White MD Jongkong from K-OG and a something else like that from BB. I'd forgotten about those. Both slow.

Hey Hippie, one of the reasons I got some of the Mystic Island White Bali to begin with was because of Mystic's own post here saying that MI White Bali and Yellow Topaz was his personal go-to. It wasn't bad, but honestly I liked the White Bali better on its own.

I never tried the K-OG version, but the BB White MD Jongkong you mention is very close as well, smooth and not jittery at all. Try it blended with a yellow and see what kind of magic you get.

I surprisingly never got a White Borneo from Mystic but I did grab myself a 75g of the Green Borneo right around well a month or two before you did, whiffypants.
Prob August/ September.
I also grabbed myself a 75g of the Green Maeng Da.

I have not touched any Green Borneo or Green Maeng Da, period, for quite some time now and the bags are pretty much full.

I wonder if the Green MD batches * are the same I will have to take a peek...

Anyway I just realized White Bali and White Malay Ive always wanted to try in general and esp from MI but been reluctant because there are so many others “ones” I wanted to try!

Edit: I do seldomnly use a White Borneo from my (first ever kratom stash from KrakenK & HHippo) + got over my Fear of “that batch that gave me a headache on Maeng Da” and decided to try some Maeng Da’s I’ve had today and wallah, it was pretty good not gonna lie!

That's it, I had them backwards. The K-OG I have is OG White MD.

I haven't really been blending except for once or twice for a long time. Actually, I'm having a hell of a time putting down the MI Green Malay.

I'm going to hide it away for a while and play around with some blends. I got a lot of kratom that's been getting ignored.

I just burned the new batch of Mystic’s Green Malay that came in the mail yesterday. And so far it seems just as good. (Only 45 minutes into it though) I had been burning the batch i got back in July or August A LOT and had gotten down to my last 5 grams of it. Thankfully they restocked a little bit and i was lucky enough to go ahead and grab some. I was contemplating waiting on more strains to post - glad I went ahead and ordered because it was gone the next day. Looks like a lot of other people had been waiting on the Malay as well. I got the Green Bali and Green MD also - hopefully they are as good as I heard the last batches were.

I completely understand HH's aversion to whites. It's like living death to me. Heavy anxiety, profuse sweating, pounding heart. The last one I tried almost sent me to the hospital. Y'all have forgiving metabolisms that I don't.

I've been sent samples and I pass them on. I'm afraid to try any whites unless someone I trust says "It's a slow white, it's safe for you! No jitters!"
