*AWESOME NEW KRATOM BLENDS*

Post by Theanine »

I blend one part of Super MD with one part of Premium MD to create a Super Premium MD.

Recipe: 1:1 ratio PMD/SMD

My Super MD is Garuda's June batch (mid to fast spec) and my PMD is Botanical Bunny's lot 12 (Kratom Crumbs), July batch, which is quite mellow.

The two combine amazingly well. A very functional daytime combo with a marketable name. The blend provides me with the euphoria of a PMD and the motivation of a Super MD. Perfection!

I have about 5 total kilos of both, so this will be my go to blend until the next dry season!

Any thoughts on this? Does anyone care to share their perfect blend recipe?

Sure!
Morning/Day Blends
I have several! My all time favorite just may be a blend of Smiley's Red Bali and Yellow Vietnam.
This blend hits all the right notes for me...pain relief✔...euphoria✔...mood boost✔...comfort✔
I find it to be very much mid-spec and can do just about anything but sleep with this blend...
watch TV, internet, hike....whatever!

Running a close second is BB's Wild White blended with BB's Wild Green! Very nice mood boost,
euphoria, pain relief and a fantastic morning wake-up blend! If I wake up feeling groggy, this
combination snaps me right out of it!

Another great blend I just recently discovered includes equal parts of BB's White Dayak, PMD 12,
Super MD 12 and Yellow 12! This blend is seriously energetic, but not wired! It provides a very
comfortable mood boost with nice euphoria and great pain relief. I'd say the major difference
between this blend and the aforementioned blends is a marked increase in energy levels and focus!
I would definitely not take this blend before bedtime! I use Mr. BallzzZZ Red Bubble technique
for this blend so I have no idea if there would be a difference if one were to toss 'n wash or if I were
to do MY usual warm water, honey, mitra, shake vigorously and down the hatch routine!

Sleep Time Blend

I have a number of bedtime blends, my favorite being BB's Chocolate JongKong, RVA's Royal Bent,
Mitra Man's Gold Bali and Mystic's White Malay! This one usually has a fair amount of heat. Sometimes
I can hit the sack, lay there, and in 5-10 minutes I've achieved a state of nirvana! It doesn't hit
like that every single time, but when it does....WoW...just, wOw! 8-) I do variations of this one using
other "strains" in an effort to consistently get that effect! It's an ongoing process! :ugeek:

WOW InstantKARMA, good blends. I have a LOT of those strains myself as I am a huge BB's and Smiley's fan, will try some of your recommendations for my nightly blending. I don't often take my Kratom in the evenings, but when I do, I need something besides some plain old Red strain....

Excellent topic! I've searched a couple of times for effective home blends but usually just find a general comment about one or two.

This interests me now after creating a couple of blends that performed worse than each individual strain on its own.

Looking forward to reading these

Rule #1 ALWAYS Blend !! :P. And always rotate. After that.. since most kratom "strains" are already blends.. My GOAL is to blend 2 completely different strains from totally different places. The Idea is, getting a wide variety of alkaloids, that you wouldn't have by just taking Jong Kong Reds, for example.

Mixing 2 Jong Kong strains is not much variety. But adding a Sumatra strain, together with a Jong Kong, is more interesting.. I'd never blend Same Source. For example a BB Lot 12, with another BB Lot 12 ? why? That's the same stuff basically.. But Thanks to BB, we know sources, so I'd def mix a Lot 12, Kratom Crumbs, WITH a Lot 13, VLNT strain 'cuz those are two different sources!

Then it's usually mixing 2 different colors. Examples from last week Notes:
  • Ammo Super Green (Soultanic) with a dark red vintage BB Red Banjar.
  • KOG Red Thailand / with BB Super MD light green.
  • PM vintage Yellow Vietnam / with GOE White Dragon
  • Gumby Yellow TFH / with Agus Red Bone
  • Today: BB Premium 1907 / with White Nugroz & Yellow Bent
Banned on Reddit: KratomVendors is now on SAIDIT!
Please check out my current Auctions/ Sales on MM Trading Post! I'm also on MeWe/ Saidit/ Reddit. Thanks!

Good point there, Todd. Why not have a dedicated thread just for blends? This way, we have one spot for everyone's blend recipes!

I used to do random blends without any reason, logic or pattern. I thought, as long as I maintain a fixed dose, all is well. Unfortunately, it is not quite that simple. Blending Kratom that is unknown to you is ill advised. First, determine how each batch in your intended blend stack works on its own, then decide where you would like to go with it, and only then blend them!

Generally speaking, there are 3 spectrums to Kratom, low/mid/high. If your purpose is a mellow burn, then you should never add any high spec variety to it. On the other hand, if you want something speedy, do commit to that high spec variety and possibly mellow it out a bit with a low/mid spec variety. It's not an exact science, but you have a much higher chance of getting it just right if you follow a certain pattern.

For beginners, it is good to stick to the 1:1 ratio as to not complicate things and ruin your mix. For example, Garuda's Super MD I have is rather speedy (mid to high spec) while the BB's PMD12 that I use is more mellow (low to mid spec). So, you can combine them at the 1:1 ratio for a more balanced result. However, if you'd like more speed, use a 2:1 ratio with a dominant speedy strain. If, on the other hand, you want more mellow, but without the couch luck, go for the same ratio, the other way around, mellow PMD12 dominant. 2 parts PMD12 to 1 part Super MD would achieve said purpose. I hope that I am making some sense here!

This is just an illustration, but the same general concept applies to all home blends! Happy blendings!

For the Yellow Vietnam/Red Bali blend it's 1:1...two grams each. My normal serving is generally
3-3½ grams total but when doing blends, I tend to do a bit more.

The Sleepy Time blend of Chocolate JongKong, Royal Bent, Gold Bali and White Malay varies and
total amount usually ends up being anywhere from 5-7 g. This is quite a bit more than my usual
serving, but I've found that less doesn't quite achieve the state of mind I like at bedtime...a sleepy,
warm and sublime feeling of well being and total comfort! Much less than that and I just don't get
nearly the same results.

This blend is usually at least 2g. Chocolate JK, 1½g. Royal Bent, 1g. G.Bali and 1½-2g. W.Malay!
I've done a lot of experimenting with this combination and occasionally I deviate from this formula and
use BB's Red Banjar, M.I. Vampire, RVA Red Hulu and a few of Kraydo's Reds trying to find the blend
that will ALWAYS give me the desired results...but it seems that the original lineup is the most effective.

The Wild Green:Wild White blend is always 1:1, generally 1½-2g. each! For me, Wild White really brings
other strains alive....like Plantation! I wasn't getting too much out of Plantation until I tried it with Wild
White and WTF(?). I added a gram of W.W. to 2 grams of Plantation and it was amazing! That was
when it occurred to me that it could just work out well with Wild Green!

I've only been doing the White Dayak, PMD 12, Super MD 12 and Yellow 12 blend for a couple of weeks.
That blend is 1:1:1:1 and I usually make enough for 3-4 servings. I had a number of strains out on the
table that I'm quite fond of and thought, "why not?" I just stumbled onto that one. So far, it's worked
for me every time!

That's some good stuff, I am taking notes, seriously. Different soils would produce differing alkaloid spectrum, so it makes perfect sense that combing various sources optimizes the output. I haven't even considered that, I will keep that in mind from now on. I tend to get stuck on strains and farmers and vendors. You have now opened my eyes! :D So, blends from different farmers produce a more robust effect profile?

Great advise Ballz,

Decided to try your recommended guidelines tonight and it worked GREAT. I usually dose about 4 to 5gs. I love BB's Verde but at times it can be a bit too slow for me earlier in the day. I needed more energy for my 5PM dose so I went with:

2gs - BB Verde Lot 14 (from May)
2gs - Okie W. Vietnam
1g - Soultanic W. Elephant (super potent batch)

I'm getting warmth and Euphoria from the Verde / W. Elephant and the energy from the W. Vietnam. It's actually faster than if I had taken 4gs of just the Okie W. Vietnam Very nice. :D

Blends tend to have a stronger effect on me. Consequently, I typically start my day with single strains and then switch to blending in the afternoon/evening to keep the effects strong through the day. Example from yesterday....

7AM - 4gs of Otie's White Indo
12PM - 4gs of Speciosa Life Premium Hulu (great new strain)
5PM - 2gs-STH Wild G. Bota with 2gs-Sacred Son Walter White
10PM - 2gs Speciosa Life R. Bali w 2gs Liza's Yellow Indo

Variety is the spice of life but the wrong combo kills a dose. Then there is no going back for at least 4 hours later. :P

Back when RVA was the ONLY vendor with PMD (2017), it was from Kratom Crumbs. I believe they had a falling out or something at some point and he quit carrying it. Seems like I heard RVA was carrying it again.

I do wonder what makes a bad combo? Which characteristics of the leaf do not mash together? Where does that incompatibly lie?

There really should be a guide to blends or at least a FAQ sheet, it is a very important subject, along with the strain rotation.

Combing different varieties of Kratom from differing regions and soil compositions provides for a much fuller spectrum of indole alkaloid exposure which in turns creates a more robust experience for the user. But does that affect tolerance formation? Why, it must. Although, it is still largely unknown, but I am committing to a thought experiment here.

If one is exposed to the same overall dosages of addictive alkaloids (MIT/7HOMIT), but with more robust variety of other plant alkaloids, would that increase or decrease tolerance. I think the latter. Why? Because blending does not really increase the opioid content of your dose (or does it?), while adding more plant alkaloids into the mix. Most of them actually reverse opioid tolerance, so that full spectrum blend may possess significantly increased tolerance reversing properties than any single strain. All is well as long as the Mitragynine and/or 7-Hydroxymitragynine is in check and not significantly increased as a result of blending, those are the only addictive components of Kratom, or at least they are the most addictive, the rest actually do the opposite -- reverse addiction, hence the assertion. Again, this is just a thought experiment.....

I'm interested in some Yellow and Gold blends. I have a few golds and yellows that stand on their own (BB's Gold 12, STH Y. Vietnam and Y. Hulu, Liza's Gold Bali) but then I have a few that are fairly bland on their own (BB' Yellow 12, STH Y. Sunda, STH Gold Bali, Garuda Wild Yellow).

I keep reading that Yellows and Golds add something when blended. I've attempted a few yellow/red, gold/green and gold/white blends but haven't had much success so far. I'm new to the whole blending thing outside of the good ole slow green with a fast white blend. :D

Any suggestions are appreciated.

GREAT! I don't have Wild Green from RVA but I do have it from Garuda, BB and STH.

Im not sure why but I've typically tried to blend golds and yellows with reds and whites. That may explain some of the lack of synergy.

Also, one instance where a blend didn't turn out well for me was with BB' Red Labai with BBs Gold 12 1:1. They are two of the more euphoric batches that I own when taken alone. it turned into just good pain relief (which is great) but that's about it. :?

I remembered another great blend with the recent comments on the THB thread:
Green Piaman and Red Piaman blended 1:1, for me, makes a very enjoyable,
slightly slow to mid-spec mix. Very nice euphoria and comfortably laid back!

If you have them, try it! Sadly, THB's source is no longer producing the Piamans
and that just sucks!

2gs of Soultanic's July RJK w 2gs of Liza's April W. Slippery Rock = pain free, anxiety free and Mood completely enhanced. This was an excellent burn. I'll be using this blend on an evening rotation now once every 3 to 4 days as to avoid strain tolerance.

Premium Maeng Da - 4 ways formula (1:1:1:1)

Code: Select all

BB's PMD 12 (1.25 g) + BB's PMD 14 (1.25 g) + STH PMD (1.25 g) + RVA PMD 2 (1.25 g) = Stupendous!
At 5 grams, none of those PMDs by themselves produced this level of WOW!

So, the total IS more than the sum of its parts when it comes to Kratom

my full spectrum are always a hit. from the bottom of 3 -6 kg that have just a few oz left, I keep the red with red & green with green
Just make sure you shake & mix well, I often see layers of the strains. I am certain that each adds to another & combining multiplies the total effects. where is that guy..."Blends are my friend" ?
